Greetings from CBA Sisterhood!
Our CBA Sisterhood is proud to be affiliated with the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. We share their mission to strengthen and unite synagogues, women’s groups, their members and individual members; support them in mutual efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative/Masorti Judaism in the home, synagogue and community; and reinforce their bonds with Israel and with Jews worldwide. With the resources and support of Women’s League available to us, we can offer programs and opportunities for individual growth as well as community impact.
Our Sisterhood is in the midst of a vibrant re-organization and YOU have the opportunity to have a huge influence in how we are structured for the future. Who joins Sisterhood? Twenty-somethings, singles, marrieds, mothers, empty-nesters, young women, experienced women, interesting women, professional women, joiners, leaders, quiet women, assertive women, inquisitive women, shy women… do you see a pattern here? Women of every kind join Sisterhood.
Your membership dues of $36 provide the working capital for the development of meaningful programs designed by women for women. But it doesn’t stop there. Our programs benefit the children and men of our congregation as well. And there is more. A portion of your dues is sent to Women’s League in support of national and international initiatives for Conservative/Masorti Judaism. Whether it is providing support for Masorti congregations in Israel or the education of Rabbis, Cantors and Educators, your dues help make it possible.
As the second decade of the 21st century begins, resolve to do something that will have an impact far beyond your own home and your own congregation. Join CBA Sisterhood as we chart our course in a world made stronger by the collective efforts of women like you.
